At South East Vet Referrals, we provide expert-led neurology, ophthalmology and non-urgent medicine services, offering advanced diagnostic and treatment options for a range of complex conditions. Our team, led by internationally renowned neurologist Dr. Rodolfo Cappello, delivers compassionate, high-quality care designed to support pets, their owners, and referring vets alike.

In collaboration with the Sevenoaks Out of Hours Service, also based within the Pennard Vets hospital building, we aim to accept cases from referring vets 24 hours a day.   New cases out of hours will be received and stabilised by the experienced Sevenoaks emergency team and will be referred into South East Vet Referrals during normal working hours.  Clients will return to the clinic for a specialist appointment at this stage and the plan for treatment will be made. Out of Hours is from 6pm to 8.30am Monday to Friday and 12noon Saturday until 8am Monday morning.

We accept routine and emergency neurology and ophthalmology referrals from across the UK. Our incredible specialists, neurologist Dr Rodolfo Cappello and ophthalmologist Dr Richard Everson have over 50 years of experience between them and have dedicated their careers to improving the lives of the animals in their care.

Our referral medicine clinician Dr Vicky Neale accepts chronic and non-urgent medicine cases either for in-person appointments or for telemedicine appointments via phone or TEAMS. She can review cases with clients and send reports back to the primary for continued work up and care or work up the cases in our Sevenoaks hospital.
