Senior Registered Vet Nurse (Referral/Hybrid)

SEVR is an independent specialist referral centre in Sevenoaks, Kent. We currently offer Neurology, Ophthalmology, and Internal Medicine — and we’re expanding fast. We’re looking for a clinical nurse who wants to be part of the development of a forward-thinking hybrid hospital: setting standards, leading a team, and delivering exceptional care at referral level every day.
This role oversees the growing caseload from South East Vet Referrals, alongside the advanced services offered by Pennard Vets, Sevenoaks, giving you variety without compromise to your specialist focus. Whether you love imaging (including CT and MRI), inpatient care or surgical nursing we can adapt to fit your skills and focus.
Both SEVR and Pennard are led by the people within the building, decision making is fast, change is encouraged! We’d like you to support the development of staff by delivering and reinforcing training in new skills and best practice, ensuring consistent high standards of patient care through ongoing coaching and supervision. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Clinical leadership
Set the standard for nursing across departments or your preferred discipline
Service coordination
Manage case scheduling, booking, and workflow across procedure areas
Patient care
Oversee pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care to referral-level standards
Team development
Mentor your team, identify training needs, and build a positive learning culture
ESSENTIAL
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
DESIRABLE
- Experience in a hospital or referral setting
- Advanced qualifications or CPD in ECC, Imaging or Anaesthesia
- Clinical coaching or mentoring experience
